TESTING OPTIONS

Our products and accessory parts are constantly tested for quality and function.
Several test procedures are used:

In-house ultrasonic testing

Manual and automatic testing units for pipes and tubes of up to 19m in length; testing of external and internal surfaces, wall thickness and volumes.

Eddy current testing

Manual and automatic testing units for pipes and tubes of up to 19m in length; testing of external and internal surfaces, wall thickness and volumes.

Hardness testing

Stationary and mobile testing units

Pressure and tightness testing

Up to a pressure of 1,000 MPa (range of measurement 1,400 MPa)

PMI (Positive Material Identification)

Alloy verification of materials.

Functional testing

Valves, pumps, power units, etc.

Dimensional inspections and visual testing

PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Years of experience in manufacturing high pressure parts, a highly qualified and motivated staff and the close cooperation between the design and finishing phases are the decisive factors for our success in satisfying the needs of our customers. Close ties to our sub-suppliers and the constant monitoring of the quality of all of our manufacturing processes ensure the timely availability of our products.

Technology on site at headquarters

Our main location consists of 8.500 m² of workshop space and 2.500 m² of office space. The production area incorporates our raw material stock, production machines, assembly, quality assurance and shipping departments. There are processing possibilities for turned parts and cubic parts weighing anywhere from a few grams up to 30 tons. This is where our ingots, valves, shafts, connectors, lenses, fittings, etc. are made.

Technology in the pipe processing center

The pipe processing center consists of 4.700 m² of workshop space and 200 m² of office space. The production area incorporates our machining department, the metalworking shop, the autofrettage, and the quality assurance and shipping departments. Finishing in this production building integrates high-pressure pipes of up to 21 m in length, welding finalization, hard materials welding, assemblies and the like.

Technology at the Hönigsberg site

The Hönigsberg site consists of 9.100 m² of workshop space and 1.050 m² of office space. The production area consists of the welding center and the production area for high-pressure pumps (BFT GmbH). Welding and assembly work for tubular heat exchangers (reactors and coolers) is carried out in the welding center. Pumps for jet cutting equipment, dosing pumps and autofrettage pumps are produced in the high-pressure pump department (BFT GmbH).
